Main Idea: Through the death of your will, a life of purpose is born in Him

2 Timothy: Second epistles of Paul to Timothy, Paul says “No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.”
A soldier doesn’t live the same way a civilian does.
Mentally are never the same
They carry a weapon
Isaiah 2:11 “The haughty looks of man shall be brought low, and the lofty pride of men shall be humbled, and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.”
If you want gods will//humble yourself and allow God to work
*Exchange expedient desires for eternal rewards*
Luke 14:28 “For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?”
Running a race for God, not the right gear.
Putting on the right gear, sometimes means taking the wrong gear off
Surrender: To cease resistance to an enemy or opponent and submit to the authority.
