Join us Sunday, September 1 at 10:30AM for a one-hour gathering followed by our Annual Chili and Pie Cook-off. To register your entry for the Cook-off, click the button below.

Overall Guidelines:

  • Sign up online no later than Wednesday, Aug 28th.

  • Be sure to include the name of your entry. Get creative!

  • You may enter one or both contests! Only one entry per person, per competition will be allowed.

  • The school kitchen will not be available, so your entry will have to be made at home and transported to the church on the day of the event, by 10:00am.

  • Entries must arrive completely made. No last-minute ingredients or toppings may be added.

  • Please write your first and last name on a small piece of masking tape and place it on the back of the crock pot and/or the side of the pie plate.

  • There will be five judges who will be given samples of each entry. Those samples will be marked by code and the judges will not know which entry belongs to whom. Entries will be judged based on overall flavor, texture and presentation (where applicable), so make it your best!

  • In the event of a tie, judges will begin again with the top-rated entries, and narrow it down to the top 3. Prizes will be awarded to the 3 best chilis and 3 best pies!

Chili Cook-Off Guidelines:

  • Though canned ingredients are allowed, pre-made chili from a can or bag will not be accepted. Chili may be as hot or mild as you like and may or may not include meat, as you see fit.

  • Please bring your chili in a Crock Pot to keep it hot until the mealtime.

Pie Bake-Off Guidelines:

  • Entries may only include dessert pies. Cobblers, crisps and other baked goods will not be accepted. Store bought baked goods will also not be accepted.

  • Entrants must bring a minimum of 2 identical pies, one for the judges and one for everyone else.
